| What
does pet insurance cover? |
| |
| Quite
simply, it covers your vets fees. This is the main reason
why you would insure your animalby purchasing a pet insurance
policy. Tesco offers three levels of cover which all include
different variations so it is really important that you you
understand the level of cover that you are buying. |
| |
| Level
one |
|
| This
pet insurance cover has a maximum limit on the amount it will
pay out for each condition. It also contains a limit on the
amount of time that a condition can be claimed for. This is
usually 12 months after the onset of a condition. Once either
the monetary or time limit has hit the maximum limit laid
out in th eterms and conditions the condition will cease to
be covered. Tesco refer to this quite simply as the 12 month
policy. To get a quote for tesco pet insurance, please

| Level
two |
|
| The
level two cover also has a maximum monetary limit that is
applied to and paid out for each condition but it has no time
limit after the onset of the condition. So it means you can
claim for as long as it takes to reach that monetary limit.
This is usually more expensive than a level one cover and
tailored towards long term conditions. |
| |
| Level
three |
|
| Tesco
refer to this as the "cover for life" policy. It
has a fixed annual amount that can be covered for vets fees.
Each time you renew your policy the amount that you can claim
is reset to the same fixed amount again. Say for example that
your cat was diagnosed with arthiritis that started during
yoru first term of insurance with Tesco, they would cover
it for the cats lifetime. You would just pay the excess each
year. This type of cover is more expensive than both the previous
levels but if you are looking for complete peace of mind then
this is a really comprehensive way of doing it. |
